German actor Hardy Krüger Junior, born in May 1968 in Lugano/Switzerland, is the son of actor and writer Hardy Krüger and Italian painter Francesca Marazzi.

Shortly after his birth, the family moved to their Tanzanian farm where he spent his childhood. The farm served as the set for Hatari, Paramount's highest-grossing film of 1962, in which his father co-starred with John Wayne.

Back in Germany, Krüger Junior went to an international school and worked as a bartender and cook before he finally decided to follow in his father’s footsteps and become an actor.

1991, after three years of intense training at the Lee Strasberg School of Acting in Los Angeles and professional stunt training, he felt ready to launch his own acting career.

He landed several appearances in American TV productions before he made his German screen debut in the popular TV series, Nicht von schlechten Eltern, that led him to his breakthrough part as the lead in another popular TV series, Gegen den Wind.

Since then, Krüger Junior has been an integral part of both the German and the international film and theater scenes.

His wide-ranging career includes the international cinema production Asterix and Obelix with Gérard Depardieu; a leading part in the award-winning Austrian-German TV movie Stauffenberg; and the forester in the famous German TV series, Forsthaus Falkenau. But no matter for what role he is cast, Krüger Junior is always a darling of the public.

In 2004 und 2006, he won two prestigious German theater awards for his outstanding performances in the plays Butterflies are free and Visiting Mr. Green.

Beside his acting career, he is a passionate ambassador for charity who travels the world on behalf of UNICEF to raise awareness about child prostitution. He also served as the patron of the TukTuk-Tour, a goodwill tour from Asia to Europe, and is involved in a variety of other charity projects.

Krüger Junior is also an avid photographer. In 2013, he presented his first solo exhibition, Perspectives, a collection of images from his many travels around the world that capture the world in people’s faces and emotions.

Hardy Krüger Junior speaks fluent German, English, French and Italian.
